Cassa Design Wow V-Groove Translucency Round Above-Counter Basin
This is the true “glass” option — a see-through vessel basin cast in translucent resin stone that lets light pass right through the body. The round profile measures 360mm across, and its vertical V-groove fluting catches and refracts the light for a jewel-like glow that shifts with the colourway. It’s offered in nine finishes, from the deep Morion Black shown here through Emerald Green, Sky Blue, Amber Brown, Faint Pink, Golden Beige, Opal Yellow, Vivid Red and Crystal Clear, and comes with a colour-matched matte black solid-surface waste cap. Cassa Design Wow Translucency Rectangular Above-Counter Basin
For a crisper, more architectural line, the rectangular version of Cassa Design’s Wow translucency basin trades the fluting for flat, clean sides — and those flat faces let the light pass straight through the body for a striking glass-like effect. Like its round sibling it’s moulded from translucent resin stone and supplied with a matte black solid-surface waste cap, and it’s available in the same nine vibrant colourways. It suits a design-led vanity where you want the basin to be the hero rather than a wall of tile. Seeing it alongside the round V-Groove basin in our Unanderra showroom is the easiest way to feel the difference between the two shapes.
Fienza Jada Pill Concrete Above-Counter Basin (Warm White)
Fienza doesn’t make a true glass basin, but the Jada Pill is its genuinely bespoke alternative — an above-counter vessel cast in sealed concrete, so every piece carries the subtle patina, fleck and texture variation of a natural material. The elongated pill shape measures 600 × 280 × 120mm with a 98mm bowl depth and a 12.3-litre capacity, and the warm white finish is protected by a food-grade nano sealant. There’s no overflow, so it takes a 32mm non-overflow waste (sold separately). It’s a natural fit for the organic, earthy schemes that suit relaxed coastal Illawarra bathrooms.
Fienza Minka Pill Solid Surface Above-Counter Basin (Dusk)
The Minka Pill is the coloured, tactile side of Fienza’s bespoke basin range — a fluted pill-shaped vessel moulded from durable solid surface in a warm, matte “Dusk” colourway. The ribbed exterior gives it real presence and something to run a hand over, while the solid-surface build is hard-wearing and easy to keep clean. It measures 550 × 340 × 120mm with a 95mm bowl depth, holds around 12 litres and weighs 7.5kg. Like the Jada it has no tap hole or overflow, so plan for a 32mm non-overflow waste. A designer statement piece that pairs beautifully with brushed or copper tapware.
